LIT Policy                                                                                 as of January 1, 2008

1. Absenteeism/Tardiness
Classes start promptly at the designated times and the instructors are to call the roll 15 minutes past each class. Attendance should play a key role in determining grades for each student. There is no excuse for absences except for those students bringing doctor¡¯s slip to justify them.

2. Tuition and Fees
All fees are payable at registration time. Those students paying on monthly installments should make the payment by 5th of each month. There will be installment fees of $20.00. Late charges of $15.00 will be added for each month past due. Grades will not be granted until all tuition is paid.

3. Probation
You will be given a notice of probation if you do not meet LIT requirements for grades, attendance of proper conduct. You will not be allowed to register unless satisfactory arrangement has been made with the administrative office within 5 days of the notice.

4. Grades
You will be given a letter grade for each class you have taken. The Language Lab class will give Pass (P), Fail (F), or Incomplete (I).  

5. Vacation
Two Months summer vacation is generally allowed in July and August.

6. Transfers
Transfers to other schools are generally allowed if you have completed one semester (two quarters consecutively) and are in good standing.  Transfer eligibility date:______________

7. Certificate
We can issue a certificate of completion when the student complete the each course successfully and meet all the requirements for grades and attendance.

8. Children
Children are not permitted in classrooms and should not be left on campus without adult supervision.

9. Telephones
Office telephones may be used with permission and should be limited to 3 minutes. Cell Phones and pagers should be turned off once you are inside the building.

10. Copiers & Office Equipment
Please refrain from using any of the office equipment without permission from the administrator.

11. Smoking,  Drinking, Eating
Smoking or drinking alcoholic beverages are strictly forbidden on campus. Soft Drinks and coffee are allowed only in the fellowship hall. No drinking or eating is allowed in classrooms.

12. Social Security Number
Please see the administrator for information.

13. Request the document
Fill out and turn in the document request form in the office. Give one day to issue the document you request. There is a $10 fee per request.
